Claims Roman Abramovich and UK government have 'struck deal' over Chelsea takeover

Reports Roman Abramovich has agreed a deal with the UK government to push through Todd Boehly’s takeover of the club and finally bring an end to his ownership of Chelsea, are not true.

The Russian oligarch and his legal team reportedly found a way forward that had previously prevented the takeover from being finalised, striking an agreement over how his £1.5bn debt will be handled.

However, Mirror Online understands a deal is not yet fully agreed with the UK Government about the sale.
