It can be difficult to choose a name for a new baby especially if you are one of the Royal family. Princess Beatrice had to wait two weeks before her name was formally announced.
She was born on August 8, 1988, but it was two weeks after the birth that her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson announced her name to the world. She recently celebrated her 34th birthday party.
It is thought that the reason behind the delay in announcing her name formally was down to her grandmother, the Queen. Traditionally, the royals report to the Queen to reveal their name choice to see if she likes what they have chosen in an 'informal chat', reports Glouchester Live.
