CK Nayudu Trophy: Sanjeet's ton helps Chhattisgarh post 446 against AP

RAIPUR: With three consecutive centuries in three multi-day Col C K Nayudu Trophy matches, right-hand batter Sanjeet Desai has accumulated 432 runs. He claimed to have become the third run highest getter in the current season of the tournament.

With it, Desai has become the first batsman from Chhattisgarh to earn this distinction.

In the ongoing match at BSP Ground in Bhilai, Desai hit 166 off 314 balls to complete his third in a row after Chhattisgarh won the toss and opted to bat first. His century helped Chhattisgarh post an invincible 446 in the first innings.

Prateek Yadav scored 79 off 101, Gagandeep Singh made 66 off 143 and Aditya Singh contributed 41 off 57. Andhra Pradesh bowlers Saket Ram claimed four scalps of Chhattisgarh while K S Raju and Tripurana Vijay took two wickets each.

In reply, Andhra Pradesh scored 90 for two at stumps on day two. Deepak Singh and Vijay Yadav took one wicket each for Chhattisgarh.
