Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant has stepped in after retired Bombay High Court judge Justice Gautam Patel reported receiving threats linked to a judgment he delivered in a long-running dispute over the leadership of the Dawoodi Bohra community, reported TOI.
The CJI, currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom, took up the matter with Indian High Commissioner to the UK P Kumaran after Justice Patel revealed that a threatening letter had been delivered to his daughter's home in London.
