Melbourne City remain cautiously optimistic Mathew Leckie can be back playing and firing by the end of the A-League Men season after undergoing successful hip surgery.
Socceroos veteran Leckie is sidelined following surgery designed to get to the bottom of recurring hamstring and other soft tissue injuries, with City unwilling to put a timeline on his return.
