
Newly-discovered marks on the seafloor reveal that massive icebergs once drifted off the coast of the UK.
The scrape-marks show where the underside of these bergs dragged across the floor of the North Sea some 18,000 to 20,000 years ago, according to scientists at the British Antarctic Survey (BAS).
