MKM Home has taken its showroom offer to the next level, with a Gordon Ramsay lookalike and live cooking displays greeting guests at the new Hull development.
The Hull-headquartered builders’ merchants business has launched the new concept in the city it began, with founder David Kilburn’s wife, Linda Clarke, invited to cut the ribbon.
Aimed at both trade and public, the Stoneferry Road addition is the result of the firm’s acquisition of Brooke Ceramics.

Rich Gosling, branch director for MKM Home, said: “It is fantastic to open the doors of MKM
Home and provide trade and public in Hull and surrounding area with a high-class showroom for all their home and garden needs. With the number of homeowners who are choosing to embark on their own self build projects increasing post-pandemic, MKM Home’s offering has been especially configured to meet these diverse needs.”
The branch, which features one of the UK’s largest kitchen and bathroom showrooms, features a host of dynamic displays to inspire customers with their next home improvement project and has expert designers and technical experts on site to help provide support throughout each stage of a project.
Hundreds of guests were invited to the launch, with an on-site state-of-the art kitchen put to use alongside some Masterchef-inspired comedy, music and magic.
Mr Gosling said the “game changing retail space” for tradespeople and homeowners includes beautiful kitchen and bathroom displays, and eye-catching tile designs, right through to plumbing and heating options that highlight the very latest in sustainable technology - real stand-out features from the competition.
Described as complementing MKM’s existing branch in Hull, MKM Home also features landscaping and an outdoor living display, and a range of flooring and joinery solutions.
