Cillian Murphy recently celebrated the completion of his latest project, Oppenheimer, in a unique way. The Irish actor, along with his co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt, shared insights into their on-set bond and post-filming activities in a recent interview.
After wrapping up his role as scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, Murphy indulged in a lot of cheese as a way to decompress. Blunt explained that cheese was his go-to comfort food for relaxation. Murphy humorously mentioned that he had received a lot of free cheese, particularly enjoying aged cheddar and parmesan.
The cast members also reminisced about their reactions upon learning of Oppenheimer's Oscar nominations. Murphy was in Cork City, Ireland, with his family when he received the news, while Blunt was in New York City dropping off her daughter at school. Downey, who portrayed Lewis Strauss in the film, was napping and had a quirky dream involving kittens and Nicorette wrappers.
The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, are set to air live on Sunday, March 10, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, starting at 7 p.m. ET. Fans of Oppenheimer will be eagerly awaiting the outcome of the nominations and rooting for the talented cast and crew.
