Ciara has hit back at trolls who mum-shamed her for the dress she wore to the Oscars last weekend.
The 1, 2 Step singer looked incredible in a sheer black sequined dress with nothing but a thong and nipple covers underneath.
She attended the bash with her husband NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, who she shares daughter Sienna, five, and two-year-old son Win with.
The 37-year-old also has an older eight-year-old son, Future Zahir, from a previous relationship with US rapper Future.
Sharing a video of her outfit on TikTok, Ciara looked sensational and had fans swooning – but not everyone agreed.
One follower branded it “too revealing for a mother and married woman”, while another said: “She looks like a hooker stripper.”
“Ciara that dress was inappropriate for a woman of your calibre and status. I love you and Russ but no on the dress,” said a third.
A fourth added: “JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN, DOESN’T MEAN YOU SHOULD... especially if you have impressionable children.”
While a fifth chimed in: “Her kids are going to look at this one day. And what will she say to her daughter that wants to dress like this.”
As well as hater comments, there were many praising Ciara’s look and wishing they had a body like that.
One fan commented: “Hey, I WISH I could wear something like that after having just 1 kid! Wear it, shine and don’t apologise.”
“You look amazing. If I had that body I’d wear that to the freaking grocery store,” said another.
Making the point there were many other stars wearing outfits just as revealing, a third wrote: “Did any of you comment on Meghan Fox, Rihanna or anyone else who wore something like this.”
A fourth added: “I am appalled at these comments. There were many white women with risqué clothing on. Secondly, a title doesn’t dictate what you can wear.”
But Ciara had the perfect clap back for anyone who had bad things to say about her dress.
Taking to TikTok again, she posted another video posing in a white sheet and sunglasses as if she was walking the red carpet, throwing her head back and laughing as she got to the end.
The text over the top read: “POV: How I’m pulling up to Vanity Fair next year.”
She captioned the clip ‘Selective Outrage’, which is also the name of comedian Chris Rock’s new Netflix special.
