Aslan legend Christy Dignam has thanked fans for their well wishes as his daughter Kiera reveals the support has given him a "boost".
Christy has been battling amyloidosis, a rare blood disorder since 2013 but last week his family devastatingly revealed the singer was receiving palliative care.
But Kiera has said that the supportive response from fans have given Christy "a boost".

She said on social media: "My Dad just asked me to thank everyone for their support, well wishes and kind words over the last couple of days.
"It has been and will be tough but it’s really given him a boost so thank you all!"
Last week, Christy’s family revealed in a heart-breaking statement on his health status.
“Christy and Kathryn Dignam and their family, daughter Kiera, son in law Darren, and grandchildren, are sharing an update on Christy’s health, in response to the large number of media enquiries received.
"In July 2022, Christy was admitted to Beaumont Hospital and spent the next six months in the care of the Haematology and Cardiac Care team.
"Since December, Christy has been at home and is being cared for lovingly by family, with the support of a palliative care team.
"The Dignam family thanks everyone for keeping Christy in their thoughts and prayers and asks for privacy at this time"
Aslan also released a heartfelt statement in support of the 64-year-old following the statement from the Dignam family.
The band admitted it has been a “tough time” but that Christy as always is their main priority and praised the singer for his strong will, stating “Christy always keeps up his fight and never gives up”.
The band announced that all future shows were effectively cancelled, and thanked their fans for their support during such a difficult time.
"Thank you all, just for being you! You are the most sincere and loyal fans and we know how lucky we are to have you all... We ask that you please respect Christy and his family's privacy at this time."
