The iconic Christmas film Elf is being brought to life in a “live arena spectacular” in Liverpool this December.
Taking place at M&S Bank Arena, the Hollywood blockbuster will be retold by a large cast and will include Santa’s flying sleigh, an audience snowball fight and an indoor snowstorm. The show will also feature aerial cirque stars and the stage will be transformed with a huge LED screen showcasing backgrounds from the film.
Elf: A Christmas Arena Spectacular will also include a mobile stage that travels around the arena, allowing spectators to get a close-up view of the show. Stepping into Will Ferrell’s shoes as Buddy the Elf is West End star Steven Serlin.

The cast also includes Birds Of A Feather’s Charlie Quirke, with Kelly Banklaki returning as Jovie the Elf, Buddy’s love interest. The production features a book written by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan and features an original score by Matt Sklar and Chad Beguelin.
Producer and Director of Elf: A Christmas Arena Spectacular, Jon Conway, says: “This is the fourth year we have presented this epic version of the Broadway and Hollywood hit as part of the World’s Biggest Pantomime brand. ‘Elf’ is always one of the most popular Christmas films and ‘Buddy The Elf’ a truly iconic character. We are returning to some venues and have made the show even bigger and better with new features to make it a really thrilling experience.
“We are keenly aware of the economic climate and are one of the few shows to have reduced our prices from Elf’s last visit for an affordable family outing! One of the best sights is the audiences dressing up for the show, especially the dads in elf Christmas sweaters! This is an unmissable Xmas treat.”
Elf: A Christmas Arena Spectacular takes place at M&S Bank Arena on December 3 and 4. You can buy tickets here with prices starting from £25.
