Christmas No.1 odds as Lewis Capaldi's new bookies favourite to bag top spot

As Christmas draws near, many will be preparing their homes for the big day - but there's one festive activity that many have forgotten about.

In a month's time, the Christmas Number One in the UK for 2022 will be revealed by radio stations across the country, and our very own Lewis Capaldi is up there in the bookie's ratings to snatch the title. The team at OLBG have revealed the bookies’ favourite to be this year’s Christmas Number One.

Due to the ongoing World Cup, Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds feature as second favourites with their festive rendition of their football classic ‘Three Lions’.

LadBaby is still sitting favourite at odds of 8/13, but can one of the following uproot their four-year dominance of the festive charts?

LadBaby are the odds on favourite to land a Christmas Number 1 and are looking to become the act with the most UK Christmas Number 1’s. Currently, they share the accolade with The Beatles with four chart-topping singles.

A festive re-release of the popular England football song ‘Three Lions’ is likely to climb up the charts in the coming weeks, and the song is backed at 4/1 to peak at number one. Lewis Capaldi is currently sitting at 8/1 on the odds, with a 6.7 per cent probability rating of snatching the title from LadBaby.

Tyson Fury's cover of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline is also sitting at good odds of 8/1, with a probability rating of 11.1 per cent in 2022.

Kate Bush ties off the bookies ratings at 16/1 with her 1985 song Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) climbing the charts due to its feature on Netflix's Stranger Things.

Her probability rating of 5.9 per cent is respectable, but all odds point to LadBaby securing yet another number one at Christmas.
