It's that time of year when feel-good movies are just what we need to cosy up to on couch.
But whether it's a Christmas classic or a action filled sci-fi movie there's something magical about revisiting those favourite films year after year.
Although the films maybe frequently viewed across the festive period there may be some scene which on closer inspection contain continuity errors or even glaring blunders.
Let's take a look at which movie mistakes which should have been left on the cutting room floor.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The festive holiday classic stars Jim Carrey as he plays the iconic Grinch who despises Christmas.
But one TikTok user has since raised a continuity error in how the Grinch's eyes appeared in one scene.
As the Grinch was wreaking havoc in Whoville his usual amber-coloured eyes were brown.
The colour change failed to be spotted and made it into the movie by mistake.
“Every time I watch the Grinch I notice this one little mistake they made whether they forgot to either put his contacts in or to edit them in afterwards,” said the TikTok user.
“So just Jim Carrey’s brown eyes are just there. And in the next scene, they’re back to that.”
Love Actually
It's 20 years since the star-studded rom-com was released and it has been dubbed a modern day classic for film lovers ever since.
With an incredible line up of cast from Hugh Grant as hapless PM to a 18-year-old Keira Knightley in the iconic door step declaration.
But those in the know have called out Grant for his costume continuity appears to have been forgotten for his character David.
Although he appears smartly dressed in a suit for most of the movie it's his tie which fans have called into question.
In some scenes he has a navy spotted tie but in others it's a plain blue and consistently interchangeable.
One fan posted on Twitter : "Right. What in the name of Jesus is going on with Prime Minister Hugh Grant's tie in Love Actually? Can't believe I never noticed this."
Home Alone
Once ranked the most popular Christmas movie of all time is Home Alone.
The movie shares the story of eight-year-old troublemaker Kevin who must protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation.
But their are countless continuity errors during the making of the movie — some more obvious than others.
One of them occurs when young Kevin runs across the street to the neighbour's house, he enters through a flooded basement and walks up stairs.
Yet in the next scene as he runs into the wet Bandits his clothes are suddenly dry.
Actor Macaulay Culkin must have switched clothes between the scenes. Alternatively, this scene was filmed before the one where he gets wet.
Die Hard
Die Hard might not be a feel-good film but it's still high up in the festive line up.
Although a certain scene left fans calling out a blunder as somehow its characters rises from the dead.
Karl (Alexander Godunov) gets strangled by John (Bruce Willis) and killed.
But moments later, he is visible in the background of the shot as John re-loads his gun.
One Reddit user pointed the blunder out, writing: "I watched Die Hard for the first time tonight.
"You can see Karl standing in the background after John just strangled him with the chains. I assume he strangled the stunt double. GREAT Christmas movie by the way!"
It's a Wonderful Life
The 1964 American Christmas classic sees an angel sent from heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.
But the movie contained a tombstone blunder as Clarence tells George that his brother died at the age of 9.
But when his tombstone is shown, it reads "1911–1919," which would make George's brother only 7 or 8 years old.
Clarence played by Henry Travers told him:''Your brother, Harry Bailey, broke through the ice and was drowned at the age of nine."
