The beautiful Christmas light trail in Cardiff's Bute Park is returning for the festive season in 2022. Christmas in Bute Park installed the dreamy, twinkly light trail for the first time last year and this year it'll return from Thursday, November 24.
The outdoor walk will weave once more around the capital's beautiful and historic Bute Park, which was gifted to Cardiff in 1947 by the 5th Marquess of Bute, and there were more than a million twinkly lights, walks, displays and laser shows at the 2021 show.
Organisers say that the team behind the show, which has worked on installations at Kew Gardens, Blenheim Palace, and Glastonbury Festival, is working on a 'more magical' display this time around. You can take a look at what 2021's route looked like , here.
The attraction was so popular last year that more dates were added, but unfortunately, due to a rise in coronavirus cases, the last week and a half were cancelled. This time around the trail is also in the diary to run until January 2.
A magical experience, Christmas at Bute Park had a boulevard of fairy light-lit trees, giant flowers and a fire garden, read more about what we thought, here. There were also street food trucks and an opportunity to toast marshmallows along the way.
Tickets are now on general sale and available to book online at www.christmasatbutepark.com
