Christine and Paddy McGuinness hope to deal with marriage woes in private

Christine McGuinness and her husband Paddy want to deal with her marriage woes with in private.

Fans grew concerned over 34-year-old Christine and husband Paddy's marriage when the Top Gear star, 48, failed to support his wife at The Games earlier this year.

Later, mum-of-three Christine jetted off on a solo holiday while fans speculated that Paddy had removed the heart tattoo one his wedding ring finger.

Christine has since spoken out on her marriage woes with Paddy – revealing she is feeling "raw" and "all over the place" at present.

She added to The Sun of herself and Paddy: "I can't lie we're having a very, very difficult time."

In a later chat, Christine also insisted she "didn't cause the situation" between herself and Paddy.

She told Fabulous magazine: "It’s just, we’ve been together 15 years – 11 years married. We are gonna have ups and downs, but this situation at the minute…

"I don’t want to go into it too much, but I will just say that I didn’t cause this situation."

After candidly opening up about her troubles with Paddy, a representative for Christine has told the Mirror : "Christine is dealing with her marriage in private."

Christine and Paddy have had some ups and downs throughout their time together.

In 2018, while Paddy was working away, he was photographed walking arm in arm with Nicole Appleton.

As the photos emerged, Christine vomited after seeing her husband with the All Saints star, 47. And Christine was flooded with messages on social media.

She recalled in her autobiography A Beautiful Nightmare: "In the space of a few hours, suddenly everyone had an opinion of my marriage, and I didn't know what was going on myself.

"My husband was aware he'd been videoed by someone, as he asked them to stop filming when he was walking down the street with the other woman."

Later, Paddy cancelled his work commitments and returned home to speak to his wife.

"I have to say we didn't speak much about it. There were no rows or arguments, But I just didn't want to look at him," she wrote in her book.

"He was home for two days before he returned to London for work. While he carried on filming, my life in Cheshire became a nightmare."

As the media storm around her marriage continued, Christine decided to retreat to her grandparents' home.

While staying there, her grandmother gave her some advice which she has credited for saving her marriage.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star said her nan had told her: "Marriage is difficult. I've been though it all with Grandad, and look at us now. I wouldn't be without him."

She added: "That advice has always stuck with me. People go through difficult times in marriage, family, work, life - everything."
