Christian Pulisic suffered a torrid injury setback earlier this month, with the 24-year-old forced to withdraw against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Thought to have suffered damage to his right knee, manager Graham Potter has insisted the player is keen to return sooner rather than later. With rumours circulating regarding the USMNT international's future at Stamford Bridge, it now seems clear that the former Brighton boss sees Pulisic as an integral part of his plans moving forward.
Pulisic is yet to speak out with his contract not set to expire until the summer of 2024, and will hope he can cement his own place in Potter's plans moving forward upon his return. Here's all the very latest news regarding his injury and potential return date.

Pulisic going nowhere
Chelsea boss Graham Potter has insisted forward Christian Pulisic will not be departing the club this month, after suffering an injury setback during the side's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The 24-year-old is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines once more and is expected to be out of action for around two months after a heavy challenge from John Stones.
Potter has since confirmed his disappointment for the USA international but admitted he expects the former Borrusia Dortmund man to remain put at Stamford Bridge before the end of the window.
“No chance, no, he will be out past that [January transfer deadline] and there was never any consideration about him leaving anyway. He is a couple of months out,'' Potter told media just last week.
"He is disappointed but he is optimistic about coming back quicker than two months. He is in that phase where he is keeping his fingers crossed and hoping his rehab goes well.”
Injury length?
By clutching his knee, we know where Pulisic suffered the knock - and now it has been confirmed that it he could be out until at least the start of February. He will miss the game against Liverpool alongside and the return clash with Fulham.
