Manchester United have confirmed Christian Eriksen will wear the No.14 this season following his free transfer from Brentford.
The Denmark international, 30, was revealed as Erik Ten Hag's second signing at United earlier this month after Tyrell Malacia, joining the Premier League side on a three-year deal. His short-term contract at Brentford expired in June, allowing him to move up north.
It's believed Eriksen's first choice jersey was the No.8, but that's been taken by Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese playmaker ditched his No.18 earlier this summer after Juan Mata's exit. Fernandes has the No.8 tattooed on him after wearing it at Sporting Lisbon.
Eriksen wore the No.8 during his time Ajax and sports the No.10 at international level. Premier League fans will remember him for wearing the No.23 during his six-and-a-half-year spell at Tottenham. That number currently belongs to Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.
The Dane was handed the No.24 when he joined Inter Milan in January 2020 and wore the No.21 during his six-month stint at Brentford. Both those shirt numbers are currently free at United with some fans assuming they are leaving the No.21 available for Frenkie De Jong.
Eriksen has achieved plenty in his career. He's played more than 650 games for club and country and won six trophies - including three Eredivisie titles and the Serie A title. He was part of the Tottenham team that reached the Champions League final in 2019.

Eriksen has admitted Ten Hag was influential in persuading him to join United. "I want to come here to play football, I don’t come here just for the logo itself, I want to come here and play," he told the club's website in his first interview as a United player.
"Obviously to speak with the manager and hear his ideas and have conversations with him on the football terms was great and ideal for me to get the decision and the possibility of coming to Manchester United."
On his ambitions for this season, Eriksen added: "I’m pretty sure the ambitions are, of course, to be top again. It’s the dream of the club and the history is now being the best, so I think the only aim is to go as high as possible and see where it takes us. But I think the aim is definitely to win something."
Eriksen continued: "The whole thing has a good vibe to it. I mean, the whole club seems like it’s in a good place. So hopefully it’s something we can push on. I’ve seen the pre-season games, and it looks good. The team looks good.
"I think it’s definitely something that we can push for and I hope I can help the fans to be able to come to the games and enjoy the football that we’re going to play."
Ten Hag added: "He’s an experienced player. He plays in countries abroad, in Italy, in Holland, a long time in England, so he knows the Premier League. It’s an absolute advantage that we have him in. I think he is a magnificent football player and I think the fans will enjoy watching him, because he’s creative, he has ideas."
