Chris Sutton trolls Rangers after vital Celtic draw in Europe

Chris Sutton couldn't resists the chance to troll Rangers following Celtic's draw with the current Europa League champions.

The Hoops tonight leave Italy with a valuable Champions League point after shutting out Atalanta to hold onto a 0-0 draw against the Serie A outfit.

Brendan Rodgers tweaked his tactics to approach the game in a more defensive style - and it worked a treat. This led to the goalless stalemate in Bergamo.

While this marked a significant result for the Scottish Premiership champions, there was no obvious over celebrating from the players, staff or fans - which is something Sutton picked up on.

He wrote on X: "Not celebrating a draw like others do… but a brave, organised defensive display from Celtic.

"Schmeichel a top class goalkeeper and some of the last ditch defending was excellent from Trusty and Scales.

"A bit of pragmatism from Brendan Rodgers playing Idah up top."

The former Hoops striker is referring to Rangers celebrations following a 3-3 draw in the derby with Celtic back in April this year.

The point for Celtic is even more impressive following the 7-1 hammering at the hands of Borussia Dortmund last time out in Europe.

Their next two European matches take place in Glasgow against RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.
