Chris Sutton has claimed that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur would be better moves for Robert Lewandowski than Manchester United.
Lewandowski has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers across Europe over the last few years, netting 344 goals in just 375 games since joining Bayern Munich. However, he has publicly stated that he wishes to leave the German giants in the summer transfer window.
“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me – I don’t want to play there any more,” he said last month. “A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me.”

A move to Barcelona appears like the most likely option for the 33-year-old but considering the Catalan club's difficult financial situation, former Chelsea centre-forward Sutton has claimed that he could see the Polish international playing for Erik Ten Hag's United. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, he said: “I have seen that Lewandowski has been linked.
"If he doesn’t go to Barcelona, then he will go to Manchester United. But why?! Why would he want to go to Manchester United? There are bigger and better options out there.
“Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs, at this moment in time and Arsenal are a better option, at this moment in time than Manchester United.
“One club seems to be stable under Arteta, I am not saying Arteta has torn up too many trees, but they are in a better position and they are better placed than Manchester United.”
