Celtic legend Chris Sutton has explained why he thinks he is currently banned from covering matches at the home of Rangers.
The prominent pundit has a couple of newspaper columns and frequently appears on BT Sport and BBC broadcasts after establishing himself in the media upon hanging up his boots. His opinions are usually forthright and divisive, but recently has not been allowed into Ibrox when BT has been covering European matches.
It has never been confirmed, but Celtic hero Sutton believes he is banned from the stadium by Rangers, stemming from describing Light Blues captain James Tavernier as a ‘serial loser’. He told Currie Club: “I called him that when he hadn’t won anything at that particular time. I was factual at that time. I have got great admiration for James Tavernier and the way he has played for the last number of seasons and for the way he’s captained Rangers.
