Chris Sutton brands Robbie Savage a 'fool' as Celtic hero laughs in face of Ange to Leicester suggestion

Chris Sutton has laughed off a suggestion by Robbie Savage that Ange Postecoglou could make the controversial step of leaving Celtic for Leicester City.

Brendan Rodgers left Parkhead mid-season for the Foxes in 2019 and sections of the Parkhead faithful haven't quite forgiven him since. He's now been sacked as boss with the 2016 title winners in the Premier League relegation zone, and Postecoglou's name after good work in Glasgow has again been mentioned with regards a move to England.

Brighton, Leeds and most recently Tottenham are amongst those to have been linked this season so far. Savage started by looking at the odds for the next King Power Stadium boss and spotted the Aussie's name, saying over a wave of the Record Sport's columnists chuckles: "I see Ange Postecoglou's linked Chris, Brendan Rodgers left Celtic to go to a bigger club, what would you think, the training facilities..."

But Hoops hero Sutton was having zero of it, responding emphatically on their BBC Radio 5Live show: "You are a fool. You think Ange Postecoglou would walk out after what happened with Brendan and the feeling towards Brendan from most Celtic fans still?

"Brendan did a phenomenal job at Celtic. Then he went down to a smaller club in Leicester City, are you telling me Ange Postecoglou right now would walk away from Celtic to go to Leicester in a relegation battle?

Savage wasn't so sure of whether it could happen or not, the former Foxes player adding: "I really don't know. I can't speak for Ange Postecoglou but you would be going to a bigger club."
