Chris Rock is set to break his silence after being slapped by Will Smith tonight as he performs at his first comedy gig since the Oscars.
The past weekend turned into an eventful one for Chis when Will walked up on stage at the Academy Awards to smack him across the face in front of a stunned audience.
Chris had made a 'GI Jane 2' joke about Jada Pinkett Smith 's shaved head. She keeps a buzzcut due to her alopecia.
Will already made an apology on social media, but Chris has so far kept silent since the shocking moment happened a few days ago.
However, things are set to change as he takes to the stage at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston later tonight.
Earlier today, Chris was asked reporters for his response to the incident as he broke cover but the comedian declined to comment.
He previously told Los Angeles Police that he doesn't wish to press charges against Will.
Amid the controversy, tickets for Chris' most recent tour have soared, with his Boston show selling out on Tuesday.
A ticket sales site recently reported selling more tickets overnight from Sunday to Monday than they had all together in the last month.
TickPick also revealed that tickets being sold on the secondary market had jumped up in value by more than 200%, from $46 on March 18 to as much more than $400 now.
"We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined," they tweeted.
After being hit in the face in front of a global audience on Sunday night, the comic tried to keep things professional and said: "Wow, Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me!"
He also said: "That was the greatest night in the history of television."
From his seat, Will continued his tirade and screamed out: "Keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth."
Later on in the evening, Will went on to win his first Oscar for his performance in King Richard and apologised on stage for his previous actions.
While on stage accepting his award, he said: "I want to apologise to the Academy, I want to apologise to all my fellow nominees."

After the event unfolded, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star also released a full apology to Chris on Instagram.
“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behaviour at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable,” he began.
“Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” Will explained.
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” he continued.
He went on to apologise to the Academy, his fellow nominees, and Serena and Venus Williams for his behaviour.
