Chris Martin’s teenage son Moses has followed in his dad’s footsteps by launching a music career.
The 19-year-old, who is the son of Chris and his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, is the lead singer in the alt-rock group People I’ve Met.
Moses and his pals Andrew Suster and Orlando Wiltshire recently signed to Interscope Records, which also represents stars like Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Elton John.
The group have released their first single, Promise, through the label, with Moses announcing the news on Instagram.
“Promise by @peopleivemet is #out. So proud of this song,” he penned.
“Endlessly grateful for the band and @noahconrad for helping to make this song so special. Hope you enjoy. Sincerely, Moses Martin.”
Moses launched People I’ve Met last year under the name Dancer, also the group soon changed their name.
He has previous musical experience, having sung with his father’s seven-time Grammy-winning band Coldplay onstage at Glastonbury in 2016.
He has also lent his vocals to a slew of Coldplay songs and written on the tracks All My Love, Orphans and The Astronaut.
Moses isn’t the only member of the family getting into singing, with Chris and Gwyneth’s daughter Apple, 21, recently releasing a music video.
She shared the clip for her song Satellites in collaboration with indie rock duo Jade Street - comprised of Eli Meyuhas and Zachary Zwelling.
Apple - who caused a stir at a debutante ball in 2024 - is also dabbling with modelling and became the face of Self-Portrait last September.
“I’m so excited to be the new Miss self-portrait and for the campaign to come out,” Apple said, in a short video at the time, wearing jeans and a baby tee from the brand.
The label was established in the UK in 2013 by Malaysian designer Han Chong, and the company is best known for making modern occasionwear for day and night.
Apple joined a list of huge names who have modelled for the brand, which includes Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Jisoo and Phoebe Dynenvor.
Chris and Gwyneth were married from 2003 to 2016 and are dedicated to co-parenting their two children since announcing that they have “consciously uncoupled”.
Speaking to The Mirror last year, Gwyneth said she thinks Apple will eventually get into acting like her.
“She's doing a pre-law degree at college but I think she's going to follow in my footsteps,” The Talented Mr Ripley star said.
“But the thing is with kids you have to let them find their own path and inspiration and try not come on top of them with your point of view.”
