Though the Kansas City Chiefs are at home for the first Sunday of the NFL’s 2024 regular season, an incident between law enforcement and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught the attention of defensive lineman Chris Jones.
Hill, who was Jones’ teammate in Kansas City between 2016 and 2021, was placed in handcuffs ahead of the Dolphins’ Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars after being cited for a driving violation near Hard Rock Stadium.
Though Hill was eventually released, Jones took to Twitter to let his fans know how he felt about the incident, which was among the top storylines heading into Miami’s home opener.

The Dolphins released a statement shortly after the incident that explained what happened and implied that Hill would still be active despite his detainment by law enforcement.
This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely…
