Chris Evans has been left in disbelief over Rod Stewart's efforts to help fund Ukrainians who are seeking refuge in the UK amid Russia's invasion.
The radio host, 55, expressed his shock when he discovered the music legend's war efforts.
Hosting The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Thursday, Chris couldn't quite believe his ears when he heard that the Hot Legs singer, 77, had been securing Ukrainian refugees a route out of their country amid the war.
Speaking to his co-host, Chris shared the back-story to how he discovered Sir Rod's amazing efforts to help those suffering amid the devastating crisis in Ukraine.
The much-loved star revealed that he had found an unwelcome guest in his home in the form of a mouse.
In a bid to try get the rodent out of his home as soon as possible, Chris called upon his wife Natasha to call in the exterminator.
However, Chris promptly got a text back from his wife who informed him that their exterminator is actually away helping those suffering in Ukraine.
"He hasn't been around for a while because he has been busy driving to Ukraine and bussing refugees back to the UK, funded by Rod Stewart," explained Chris.
Clearly in disbelief while live on air, Chris went on: "And I've just found all this out now. Isn't that just great?"
"It's very moving, that is very moving. I haven't heard Rod Stewart talking about that at all," he added.
It comes after the music legend sent a message of support to a security firm that had been driving supplies to Ukraine in an array of vans.
Rod told operations manager Martin Jackson: "Martin, it's Rod Stewart here mate. Well done, for getting out there and helping.
"I've sponsored four trucks that are in Germany at the minute, they will come and meet you in Poland.
"Well done, son, I'm proud of you."
Following Chris' revelation about kind-spirited Rod Stewart, fans flocked to Twitter to praise the music icon.
"This is what celebrities should be doing - take a leaf out of Rod's book. Don't just share stupid posts - go out and do something amazing like this with all their money," one Twitter user wrote.
"Rod Stewart is honestly such an all-round wonderful man," another echoed.
"What a role model and incredible person," someone else gushed.
