Chris Eubank Jr. Eyes Mega-Fights With Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, And Conor Benn‌

Chris Eubank Jr. is thrilled to have signed a promotional contract with BOXXER and feels that he will soon face major opponents like Conor Benn, Terence Crawford, and Canelo Alvarez.

If Canelo successfully defends his undisputed super middleweight title in September, it will be a huge battle that airs on pay-per-view in the United States and the United Kingdom (PPV). Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KOs) is one of the two names Canelo is considering.

Eubank Jr. appears to have lost most of his skills after being defeated by Liam Smith in the fourth round of the competition in January 2023.

Forget about facing Terence Crawford; following his championship defense against WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3rd in Los Angeles next month, Nebraska native Eubank Jr. is going after the big fish, Canelo Alvarez. Crawford won’t waste time pursuing an elderly minnow. A rematch between Eubank Jr. and Billy Joe Saunders would not be as popular because the former two-division world champion has not competed in the last three years despite earning a huge sum of money against Canelo on May 8, 2021.

After losing the bout via eighth-round knockout, Saunders hasn’t been spotted in the ring again. Older British fans would be interested in watching a bout between Eubank Jr. and Saunders, but the younger audience would not be drawn to it since they would consider the two 34-year-olds as outdated individuals trying to make a quick money before retiring from the sport.

Another bout that might not pique viewers’ interest in the UK or around the world is the welterweight Conor Benn vs. In his two fights after he was suspended and got into trouble, Benn has looked awful. Even at 27 years old, Benn doesn’t seem like the same fighter he once was, and the excitement around his bouts isn’t quite as great as it was in the past.

“There are 4 or 5 different names out there that are mega-fights that everybody wants to see,” said Chris Eubank Jr. in media reports.

“Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, Conor Benn, Billy Joe Saunder,” added Eubank Jr.
