Celtic transfer target Cho Gue-Sung is on his way to Europe – and revealed the door isn’t yet closed on a move to Europe in this window.
It appeared last week South Korea’s World Cup star would stay at his club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, until the summer at least – despite interest from the Scottish champions and clubs in the Bundesliga and MLS. He's now in Spain for a winter training camp with Jeonbuk before the start of the K-League next month. And the 24-year-old striker revealed he could still be on the move in January.
He said: "The transfer market is not over yet. I cannot give a definite answer about whether I will still be at the club after this window.
"I'm not in peak shape in the winter because I haven't played since the World Cup. I know if I went and signed for a European club, I would have to compete with players who are in 100 per cent physical condition.
"But on the other hand, if I wait until the summer, there not be the same interest in me from the clubs who want me now.
"So no decision has been made." Celtic are desperate for another striker with Giorgos Giakoumakis ready to leave Glasgow this month.
