Rugby star James Haskell has revealed he was reduced to tears when his wife, Chloe Madeley, gave birth to their first child – and has also shared the name of their bundle of joy.
The 37-year-old sport star and his 35-year-old wife welcomed a baby girl on August 10 - and have now shared more details about their bundle of joy.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, James shared the name of his newborn daughter – after Chloe, who is the daughter of TV couple Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan, gave birth to their child.
Uploading a number of candid photos of himself, Chloe, and their daughter, James gave heartwarming information about his new fmaily life as he prepared to begin his second weekend as a father.
He wrote: "Welcome to the world my beautiful daughter Bodhi Rae Georgia Haskell. yes I cried like a baby when she came out.
"I knew love but not like this! I finally understand what people have been banging on about when they talk about having children.
"To my mega wife @madeleychloe you have given me the best gift anyone could ever ask for. You were a proper machine during this period and are a natural born mum. To be fair you have had a lot of experience looking after me."
He added: "Watching you with Bodhi is the best thing. You are already amazing. I love you"
Chloe and James became proud parents a week ago with the arrival of their baby girl.
While the couple have opened up about their pride at becoming a mum and dad together, the arrival of baby Bodhi was far from plain sailing for the pair.
Previously, Chloe explained that while "childbirth did not go to plan", she was grateful for all the "compassionate, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced women" who assisted her in welcoming her first child into the world.
Chloe also joked that despite almost 'firing' husband James Haskell as her birth partner, she couldn't have wished for anyone better to be by her side as she gave birth to their baby daughter last Wednesday.
Taking to Instagram shortly after the arrival of her baby daughter, Chloe shared a photo of her newborn girl alongside a gushing statement.
She wrote: "A love that escapes all words, and the best thing that has ever happened to me.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart @jameshaskell for going on this adventure with me. I’ve never been happier. I love you."
Baby Bodhi was shown lovingly wrapped in a blanket - while fans and followers were quick to share words of congratulations in response to the post.
One typed: "Oh my god. She’s too cute. Congrats!"
While the name of the baby proved to be a hit with many fans and followers who were quick to share their thoughts and opinions with Chloe via Instagram.
