Chloe Ferry stranded in Turkey after freak snow storm sees country grind to a halt

Chloe Ferry has been left stranded in Turkey after all flights out of the country were cancelled for two days due to heavy snow.

The Geordie Shore star has been in Turkey for over a week alongside new boyfriend Johnny Wilbo but their plans to get home to Newcastle have now been severely disrupted by the freak bout of weather, which started on Sunday and saw much of Turkey grind to a halt.

Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Authority (AFAD) reported that more than 4,600 people were stranded across the country and more than 6,700 taken to shelters in seven provinces.

Chloe, 26, revealed her plight on Instagram on Monday when she uploaded a video from the airport captioned: "We are sleeping on the floor tonight. Our flight is cancelled."

Offering an update a short time after, Chloe returned to Insta to share with fans that she'd managed to bed down for the night on some airport seats, saying: "Not going to get home for two days.

"They're saying it's a two day delay. We're stuck in the airport we can't leave. We're snowed in."

As the clock ticked past 2am and with her hand over her face in despair, Chloe then posted a short clip on which she wrote: "Can't take believe no flights are taking off for two days."

She then shared a look at the airport departure board with CANCELLED next to every flight, moaning: "Just my luck. Every flight cancelled.

At 8am on Tuesday, Chloe revealed to fans that she was still stuck in the airport, before bringing more positive news after she was allowed to leave the airport for the first time in 24 hours, walking around in the snow.

The last update on Chloe's Instagram showed that she had found a place to stay, with her thanking the company who'd sorted out her accommodation, adding: "Feels so good to be in bed and not on the floor"
