Bookmaker Chisholm has seen profits return following the impact of Covid-19 on the high street.
The Ashington-headquartered chain, which runs 35 shops across the North East, saw pre-tax profit return to the black at £1.1m in 2021, from a pre-tax loss of £40,311 the year before.
In accounts filed at Companies House, Chisholm revealed it had received more than £1.3m in Government grants from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme in the year to the end of April 2021.
