China on Tuesday inaugurated the Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed railway, a key addition to its expanding rail network that dramatically reduces travel times between central and western regions while strengthening trade, tourism and industrial connectivity, reported state media Xinhua.
The Xi'an-Shiyan railway also completes the final missing section of the high-speed corridor connecting Fuzhou in eastern China with Yinchuan in the northwest, further improving cross-country connectivity.
