China steps up to offer rest of world reliable trade partner, route away from Trump’s insanity

Donald Trump is the best thing to happen to China in decades. Not in the CCP’s wildest dreams did they imagine that Trump would be so chaotic and unpredictable, apparently dead set on upending the world order, obliterating trust in the American government, and turning a respected world superpower into a bad joke.

Now they’re all too willing to fill the void that Trump has created in the global balance of power and are confidently, calmly, and (frankly) accurately selling themselves to the rest of the world as a trade partner that isn’t utterly insane.

Speaking at the Davos Forum, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng was clear that China is offering stability where the United States offers unpredictable and costly chaos. First, he took a none-too-subtle shot at Trump’s ambition to conquer Greenland:

“Everyone should be equal before the rules, and a very small number of countries should not have privileges based on strength. The world cannot return to the law of the jungle where the strong prey on the weak. Every country has a right to safeguard its legitimate interests.”

Next, he moved on to emphasizing that China is the smart choice to do business with:

“China has always attached importance to promoting the common prosperity of its trading partners through its own development. China is committed to expanding the global economic and trade pie. We never deliberately pursue a trade surplus. We are willing to be the world’s factory but also the world’s market.”

A new Chinese century?

China is, of course, always acting in its own interests rather than being a beneficent superpower just trying to make the world a better place. However, at least with China, countries know where they stand when it comes to trade and they don’t have to price in waking up one morning to find that their carefully calculated economic plans are in tatters after a garbled 3 am Truth Social post.

We can also only underline that we have three more years of Trump to go. That’s three more years of China being able to form long-term international trade agreements that leave the United States out in the cold, international partnerships that will then develop further over the course of the century. After all, if you had a buck to invest, would you make a deal with the rambling hobo on the street corner?

Make America Great Again? Yeah, right, Trump’s insanity may have just cemented that the rest of the 21st century will be dominated by China, with the United States as a failing, sickly, and embarrassing footnote.
