Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced the start of his third term in power, after being re-elected as party secretary of the Communist Party of China.
President Xi had already been in charge for a full 10 years, which usually marks the end of a leader's rule.
However, in a break from tradition, he announced he would remain in power for at least another five years.
