Chilling message for couple who moved into Queens Drive home

Our latest spooky tale by Tom Slemen ahead of Christmas, focuses on the spooky twins that visited a home late at night....

A week before Christmas in 1995, Steve and Shannon, a couple in their twenties, moved into a semi-detached home on Queens Drive West Derby, and Steve removed an old ornate moss-covered urn from the back garden and threw it on a skip.

In the evening around 10pm, there was a single knock at the door, and Steve who was painting the walls of the kitchen, answered the door. He saw two white-haired or possibly platinum-blonde women who looked like twins standing on the doorstep - and their eyeballs were jet black.

Both women wore long dark robes that went to their ankles. The woman to Steve's left said in a soft voice ‘Put the urn back or you will die.’

The two women then turned and silently walked away, and Steve said they seemed to fade into the night as they reached the end of the drive. Steve told his partner Shannon, who was watching TV, about the weird visitors and she said it was probably just two kids playing some joke.

Steve said the women looked as if they were about thirty, and had not been kids. Shannon said: "Well we're not putting that minty old urn back in the garden." The couple had an unbelievable run of bad luck after that evening, and Steve felt all the misfortune was to do with the two weird visitors.

Without telling Shannon, Steve rummaged through the skip and found the old urn, and he scraped the moss of it and saw it was made of a white stone with the god Pan engraved upon it. He then put the urn back in its original place in the garden, and as he did, he heard a distinct voice say, 'Thank you.'

The bad luck seemed to cease abruptly after that. Steve and Shannon later heard about an uncanny rumour from their neighbour Margaret. She said that two ladies - twins – had lived in Steve and Shannon’s house in the 1970s, and the two twins had been serious dabblers in the occult until they were both killed abroad in a horrific traffic accident. The twins were cremated and their ashes were put in that urn Steve had found in the back garden.
