Victgoal is recalling about 40 children's bicycle helmets sold on Walmart.com because they do not meet federal safety requirements, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Sept. 10. The helmets fail the standard's retention system, positional stability, and certification requirements, and CPSC says they can fail to protect a child in a crash.
No injuries have been reported. The recall is small, but it follows a string of federal actions against bike and multi-purpose helmets over the past year, most of them involving helmets sold on Amazon or Walmart.com.
