A young girl has been seriously injured following a road incident in Co Galway.
The collision happened at Dunlo Quay, near the L4602, in Ballinasloe at around 12.10pm on Friday afternoon.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after the child, a pedestrian, was struck by a mini-bus.

She was taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe where she is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Gardai have closed the road in order to conduct a forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.
They are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision at Dunlo Quay, near the L4602, in Ballinasloe, Co.Galway this afternoon, Friday, 8th April 2022.
"The collision occurred at approximately 12.10pm and involved a mini-bus and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a female (child) was later taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe where she is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.
"No other injuries were reported.
"The road is currently closed with diversions in place. A forensic collision examination has been scheduled.
"Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Any road users who were travelling near the Dunlo roundabout and the L4602 between 12.05pm and 12.20pm and who has camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
