A child was removed from the UK despite the concerns of a Liverpool-based charity tackling 'honour'-based abuse (HBA) such as forced marriage and female genital mutilation.
The child had retracted their initial statement by the time the specialist service met with them, following a local authority intervention.
Merfat, a Savera UK support worker, said: "By the time we went to see that client, they'd retracted everything they'd initially said.
