A child has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in Renfrewshire.
Police were called to the A8, Glebe Street, in Renfrew on Saturday.
The alarm was raised just before 6pm following reports of 'a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian'.
The youngster was rushed to Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children for treatment.
Police did not disclose the child's age, the nature of their injuries or their current medical condition.
No other injuries have been reported at this stage.
Glebe Street is one of the main roads through Renfrew which runs from Glasgow Road, leading to Braehead Shopping Centre, to Paisley Road in the town centre.

Little Flowers Day Nursery, a play park and Trinity High School all sit on the road that is largely residential.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 5.50pm on Saturday, June 25 police were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian on the A8, Glebe Street, Renfrew.
"Emergency services attended and the child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 5.52pm on Saturday June 25 to attend an incident on Glebe Street, Renfrew. We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and the patient was transferred to the Glasgow Children's hospital.”
