Child Benefit payments to rise by 10.1% from April, here is what parents will get

Benefit payments will increase by 10.1% this year.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed in November 2022 that benefit and pension payments will rise to "boost the finances of millions of the poorest people in the UK" in the wake of a Cost of Living Crisis and high inflation.

Child Benefit is one of the payments that will increase from the start of the new financial year in April. The benefit - which is not means tested - is paid every four weeks to people responsible for a child under 16, or under 20 if the child stays in approved education or training.
