Child assaulted outside Scots primary school rushed to hospital

A child has been rushed to hospital after being assaulted outside a Scots primary school.

The 11-year-old boy was attacked outside Darnley Primary School on Glen Moriston Road, Glasgow at around 6.20pm on Sunday, June 19.

He was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow but has since been discharged.

Local residents reported that the school was taped off with police officers standing guard until almost midnight.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are continuing after a 11-year-old boy was assaulted on Glen Moriston Road, Darnley, Glasgow around 6.20 pm on Sunday, 19 June, 2022.

"The boy was treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and has since been discharged."
