Child, 12, injured after being knocked down by hit-and-run driver in Radcliffe

A child was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Radcliffe.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a 12-year-old and a car on Ainsworth Road at around 5.40pm on Thursday (February 10).

The car did not stop at the scene, a spokesman for GMP said.

The child suffered minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are currently ongoing.

In a statement, GMP said: "At around 5.40pm yesterday (Thursday 10 February 2022), officers were called to reports of a collision between a car and a 12-year-old child on Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe.

"The car failed to stop at the scene.

"The child received minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
