Chikka takes three-stroke lead at halfway mark in DGC Open

NEW DELHI: There wasn't one fist pump but two as Chikkarangappa finished his round with a birdie on the ninth hole from 22 feet. "One for the camera," he quipped, as his playing partner Phachara laughed. It was ‘one’ important putt, as it made a difference of three strokes at the top of The DGC Open Day 2 leaderboard.

After Chikka had submitted his card for a 6-under 66 round, both Rashid Khan (two-under 70) and overnight leader Siddikur (one-over 73) dropped shots on their final holes. Rashid remained in second place along with Mhow’s Om Prakash Chouhan (68), England's Matt Killen (69), and the accomplished Thai duo of Nitithorn Thippong (70) and Sadom Kaewkanjana (67).
