Chiefs vs. Chargers: RB Samaje Perine scores go-ahead touchdown

The Kansas City Chiefs finally found some much-needed offensive rhythm in the fourth quarter of their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

After a disastrous start to the game, which included two turnovers and potentially serious injury to wide receiver Rashee Rice, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City’s offense had to adjust.

The Chiefs’ defense held up their end of the bargain, and with the game on the line in the fourth quarter, running back Samaje Perine delivered the decisive blow against the Chargers by scoring a touchdown that gave Kansas City a late lead.

Take a look at the go-ahead score by the former Cincinnati Bengal, which was posted by the Chiefs’ official Twitter account:

Kansas City had no problem closing out the game and eventually secured victory to advance their regular season record to 4-0.

Expect to see Mahomes and Perine back in action against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5.
