Chiefs stock watch: Which players impressed during Week 7 vs. Chargers?

The Kansas City Chiefs earned their second consecutive victory in the AFC West at home in Week 7 after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

The dynamic duo of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce carried the offense. The All-Pro teammates were unstoppable, especially in the first half, and secured the 50th touchdown connection of their careers. Marquez Valdes-Scantling reached the endzone for the first time this season, ending his scoring drought.

On defense, there were contributions across the board, including sacks from Willie Gay Jr., Drue Tranquill, Mike Danna, George Karlaftis, and the returning Charles Omenihu. Chris Jones’ sack streak ended, but he still helped lead the pressure while L’Jarius Sneed and Bryan Cook secured interceptions.

The Chiefs outlasted the Chargers’ offense while efficiently imposing their will in the second half on defense to secure the victory.

Here’s a look at how the stock is trending for some players after the Week 7 victory at Arrowhead Stadium:

The Chiefs’ defense shut Justin Herbert and the Chargers’ offense in the second half, led by a brilliant performance from L’Jarius Sneed, who finished with the team lead in tackles and an interception

Stock Up: Charles Omenihu

A productive Chiefs debut for Omenihu after serving a six-game suspension stepped in and secured a sack on Sunday, applying pressure to Herbert throughout the game.

Stock Down: Blake Bell

Bell did get a catch on National Tight Ends Day, but he also fumbled the ball away, stalling a promising drive in the first half while Kelce was on the sidelines for the play.
