The Kansas City Chiefs are fortifying their wide receiver corps and adding another weapon for Patrick Mahomes ahead of the 2024 season.
Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is reportedly signing with the Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Brown, 26, will make the move to Kansas City on a one-year deal that is worth up to $11 million.
In 2023, Brown hauled in 51 receptions, 574 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. He has 28 touchdowns over 72 career games across his first five seasons, having spent time with the Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens.
Now, he’ll have the opportunity to play alongside Mahomes and join the Chiefs in their quest to make NFL history by winning a third consecutive Super Bowl.
The star quarterback seemed delighted to have Brown on board, posting a grinning emoji to social media after news of the signing broke.

Lining up alongside the likes of Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice could open up some dangerous looks for Brown with Mahomes throwing the ball. And it seems the star quarterback can already envision some big plays with his newest weapon.
After a season in which Chiefs wide receivers were criticized for their struggles with drops, the hope is surely that the addition of Brown will add some stability to the position.
