Kansas City Chiefs CB Nic Jones has inked his signature on his rookie contract.
According to his agency JL Sports, Jones has agreed to terms on a standard four-year rookie deal with the Chiefs. He becomes the second rookie from the 2023 NFL draft class to sign his rookie deal, following fourth-round DB Chamarri Conner.
Projections indicate that Jones will receive a contract worth $3.9M million in total value with a $77K signing bonus and a $769K salary-cap hit for the 2023 NFL season. This is all based on Jones’ draft slot, and as one of the last picks in the 2023 NFL draft, there isn’t much wiggle room on guaranteed money.
Congrats to our client @Showout_NJ on agreeing to a 4 year contract with KC chiefs 💪

The seventh-round pick out of Ball State was a standout at rookie minicamp during the first weekend in May, showing that he belongs early on in his Kansas City career. He will look to pick up where he left off when OTAs begin at team facilities next Monday.
