The Kansas City Chiefs have released an updated version of their depth chart ahead of the Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans.
There are quite a few changes on the depth chart this week. The Chiefs made a pair of trades ahead of Tuesday’s deadline and activated a player to the 53-man roster from injured reserve.
Generally speaking, these are intended to give a rough idea of where a player is on the depth chart, but they’re not always entirely accurate. They’re considered “unofficial” because they’re assembled by the team’s PR staff and not the coaching staff and they might not always reflect what happens on game day as a result of that. It’s intended to be a fluid document that evolves as the roster changes throughout the season.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a look at the latest depth chart and see what we can learn about the Chiefs:

- Rashad Fenton was shipped off to the Falcons on Tuesday and is no longer on the depth chart.
- Trent McDuffie was activated to the 53-man roster and returns to a starting cornerback spot.
- Jaylen Watson was previously listed behind Joshua Williams on the left cornerback spot on the depth chart. He’s now listed behind McDuffie.
- Nazeeh Johnson is now listed as a cornerback when he was previously listed as a safety. He played the nickel and outside corner spot during training camp and the preseason.
