In a question posed about Jets quarterback Zach Wilson to Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, the phrase “people thought his career was on the line” was used by CBS Sports’s Josina Anderson. It was a fair assessment of Wilson’s status heading into Sunday night’s game, based on his struggles so far this season.
But after Wilson’s solid showing in a tough 23-20 loss to Kansas City at MetLife Stadium, it was all praise from Chiefs and Jets players alike. Wilson looked so good that Sneed went as far as stating that Wilson “belongs” with his performance.
“Last couple of games, he didn’t play well,” Sneed told Anderson. “He came out today and showed he belongs in the NFL.”

While Marquez Valdes-Scantling crashes the interview in good fun & puts "the seatbelt" on L'Jarius Sneed...

Sneed’s definitive comment on Wilson may be the first time in many seasons, if at all, that we’ve heard this said about the former No. 2 overall pick. Wilson completed 28 of 39 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns without an interception. He did lose a fumble in the fourth quarter, arguably his only glaring mistake of the night.
