The Kansas City Chiefs enter Sunday night’s game against the New York Jets as heavy favorites. The matchup, when it was scheduled, was expected to be the first meeting on the field of Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, but the latter suffered a season-ending injury.
The Jets offense has struggled with Zach Wilson back as the starter, with many critics writing New York off in a big way heading into Week 4. Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo made it a significant point during meetings this week to not look past a hungry Jets team with plenty of weapons. He spoke about it on Thursday with reporters at practice.

“It didn’t happen because they’re pros too. They’re in the NFL planning about the offensive players for the Jets because they’re all good players. But we got to make sure that doesn’t piece together, and it makes us look bad. So that was really the first message, and then let’s go about finding out who they are, what they are, what they do, and find a way to slow it down.”
There have been a few upsets this season in the league, with the most recent notably being the Arizona Cardinals defeating the heavily favorites Dallas Cowboys.
