Kansas City Chiefs CB Chris Lammons has turned himself in to authorities in Las Vegas according to a new report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Lammons was wanted in connection with an assault that took place over Pro Bowl weekend involving New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara.
Lammons’ attorney, Ross Goodman, confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Katelyn Newberg that the 26-year-old cornerback surrendered himself for what was considered a “walk-through booking” at Clark County Detention Center on Thursday morning. That means Lammons went through the booking process but was released after posting bail.
According to the report, Lammons appeared before a judge and was arraigned on Thursday. He was charged with a felony count of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, and a gross misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit battery. He was not required to enter a plea at the arraignment.
“It appears to be an unplanned and spontaneous altercation based on my review of the reports,” Goodman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Lammons, Kamara and two others are scheduled to appear in court again on March 16.
